• Establish and maintain discipline-specific BIM requirements for electrical systems, including medium- and low-voltage power distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, busway, cable tray, grounding, and lighting. • Define modeling standards, LOD expectations, content and family libraries, parameter and classification schemes, and model quality checklists. • Define and document model authoring, exchange, federation, clash-testing, and sign-off workflows in playbooks and templates. • Review and improve requirements based on project feedback and align cross-discipline interfaces, shared parameters, and coordination priorities. • Perform and lead discipline model reviews across projects, validating quality, completeness, and constructability. • Drive clash detection and resolution for busway, cable tray, electrical equipment working clearances, mechanical interfaces, and structural framing. • Support fabrication-level modeling for prefabricated electrical room modules, skid-mounted equipment, and busway or tray assemblies. • Participate in project coordination meetings as the electrical discipline authority. • Serve as the primary VDC point of contact for trade contractors, internal design teams, and external design firms. • Onboard partners, review BIM execution capabilities, audit incoming models, and provide structured corrective feedback. • Capture project lessons learned and convert them into updates to standards, content libraries, and playbooks. • Contribute to corporate VDC initiatives, technology evaluations, CDE workflows, and downstream model-data integration.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in BIM/VDC coordination or electrical power distribution design in data center, mission-critical, or heavy industrial environments • Familiarity with NEC working clearance and equipment access requirements • Expert proficiency with Revit MEP and Navisworks • Experience with electrical design or calculation tools such as ETAP or SKM preferred • Experience with prefabrication workflows preferred • Experience developing or enforcing discipline BIM standards, content libraries, and coordination workflows across multiple projects or partner organizations • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, prefabrication, and field installation practices • Ability to assess model constructability, beyond geometric clash-freedom • Ability to work with trade contractors, design firms, and internal engineering teams and hold partners accountable to standards • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience • Willingness to travel to project sites and fabrication facilities as required • Authorization to work in the United States, as IREN participates in E-Verify
