Description

• Review customer requirements and provide technical support to the project management team • Monitor optical standards and specifications • Provide technical input to related product development groups • Assist in reviewing and executing test plans and procedures to verify system requirements • Assist in implementation planning of network components of subsea cable systems • Support installation and in-station testing of Terminal Station and Outside Plant Equipment • Assist with commissioning and acceptance testing of subsea cable systems • Integrate with the marine installation team during cable landings • Assist with reviewing technical deliverables for compliance with specifications, laws, and regulations • Follow instructions from senior members and collaborate with partners to streamline project goals and efficiencies • Work in a field environment with no supervisory responsibilities

🎯 Exigences

• Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent • 3+ years of telecom experience • Experience with fiber optic installation, testing, splicing and troubleshooting • Broad knowledge of integration and test requirements • Knowledge of digital communications system operations, applications, product features, functions, specifications, configurations, and product life-cycle processes • Knowledge of design theory and architecture • Knowledge of Optical Standards and technologies • Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment • Good communications skills • Fluent in English • Strong writing skills • High reasoning skills • Microsoft platform skills • Ability to lift 40 lbs • Up to 75% travel required • Must be authorized to work in the United States • NEC does not offer sponsorship for this role, now or in the future • No certifications or licenses required
