Description

• Provide field access support services and education to Healthcare Professionals to maximize patient access to company products and accelerate time to treatment • Communicate with Specialty Pharmacies, Closed Door Pharmacies and Patient-Physician Services in support of marketed products in the U.S. • Build and uphold the pharmacy distribution network by conducting vetting activities within an assigned geography, including approval, denial or removal communications • Support and educate HCP entities on coverage issues, access support services, processes, forms, payer-specific coverage issues and patient financial support programs • Serve as subject matter expert on regional and national payer coverage policies and processes • Work cross-functionally with field sales, network pharmacies, market access, commercial analytics, operations and Payer Marketing • Build and sustain relationships with pharmacies, physicians, office staff and other HCPs to resolve coverage problems for prescriptions in process • Train and educate HCPs on payer-specific coverage policies, documentation requirements, appeals processes and patient financial assistance programs • Introduce technology options such as CoverMyMeds for electronic Patient Access submissions and support prior authorizations, letters of medical necessity, appeals, step edits and formulary exception requests • Problem-solve and conduct case resolution for coverage and patient access issues • Identify and communicate payer issues with the National Account Directors team • Interface with local closed-door and long-term-care pharmacies, providing support services and education • Communicate opportunities and challenges related to patient access issues to management • Present payer coverage insights at internal business reviews and national/regional sales meetings • Conduct Patient Access workshops during POA meetings and assist with new-hire training • Monitor pharmacy network operations, use end-user feedback to improve effectiveness, propose workflow strategies and share best practices with trade leadership • Work to ensure a diverse and inclusive environment free from discrimination and harassment • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Exigences

• BS/BA degree in related field AND 6+ years of pharma/biotech commercial experience, with 2+ years of experience with specialty pharmacy/market access • Specialty product experience, with CNS preferred • Previous experience in other functions in pharma/biotech desired, including sales, management, marketing and managed markets • Master’s degree or MBA preferred AND 4+ years of related experience • PharmD or PhD AND 2+ years of related experience • Strong understanding of specialty pharmacies, managed care, pharmacy benefit managers and government payers and their impact on product access • Excellent working knowledge of patient support programs, including reimbursement support and financial assistance adherence programs • Strong understanding of prescription adjudication process • Ability to communicate payer coverage criteria and prior authorization processes • Good understanding of current issues within the marketplace, pharmaceutical industry and national health care system • Ability to travel overnight up to 60% • Knowledge of best practices in the functional discipline and familiarity with broader underlying concepts of related business disciplines • Ability to improve tools and processes within functional area • Ability to work as part of and lead multiple teams • Leadership skill and ability, typically leading lower levels and/or indirect teams • Excellent computer skills • Excellent communications, problem-solving and analytical thinking skills • Ability to meet multiple deadlines across varied projects/programs with accuracy and efficiency • Excellent project management skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment and handle multiple tasks • Excellent interpersonal skills and cross-functional team success
