• Outside Sales Representatives focus on meeting the major needs of solar installers by gaining an understanding of the big-picture issues their customer is facing and continue to track their needs over time. • They work to find solutions for their customers that incorporate their company’s products and services. • The Outside Sales Representative role provides customers with technical ins and outs of solar-electric (PV) systems and components, both sold by us and by our competitors, to provide extraordinary business insight and design and sales support. • Plan and execute sales strategy and action plans in order to achieve business goals and revenue targets. • Establish, build and foster meaningful business relationships within your region in collaboration with other team members. • Participate in sales blitzes and other sales and marketing events in order to produce impactful results. • Accountable for decisions that support BayWa inventory health and customer needs (win/win deal making). • Recognize the scope of our services and the uniqueness of the methods, products and systems we employ to better drive customer partnership and retention. • Stay on top of industry trends and the strengths and weaknesses of competitors in the market. • Collaborate with the Branch Manager and operations team in the region to demonstrate the resources and expertise of BayWa to clients during the sales process to ensure confidence in the value and competence of the team. • All Other Duties as Assigned
• Highly organized and self-directed • Able to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, presentation and written communication skills • Excellent project management skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment • Demonstrated strong performance in analytical, innovative, and critical thinking, strategy and collaboration • Utilize the skills necessary to manage time and territory effectively • Display enthusiasm and treat all prospects and customers with respect • Display professionalism in appearance and mannerisms at all times • Enthusiasm, entrepreneurship, proactive, and collaborative • Genuine interest in renewable energy • Ability to generate results and hold oneself accountable for doing so • Ability to manage various priorities in various timeframes and make fast decisions. • At least two years of previous sales experience, preferably in B2B sales. • Proven track record of success in outsides sales and/or B2B sales. • Deep understanding of the solar industry and the products currently on the market. • Technically and digitally competent. • Able to legally work in the U.S. • Maintain a valid driver's license. • Comfortable with CRM software - checking inventory, logging activities, etc. • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
