• Engage healthcare providers through in-person, virtual, and digital tools • Conduct proactive outreach on product access, on-label information, and established patient care guidance • Direct customers to colleagues such as Customer Service Specialists as needed • Ensure customer requests are met and solicit feedback on engagement quality • Facilitate speaker programs • Organize local provider groups with local and regional leaders • Elevate opportunities, feedback, and local market insights to the Area Business Lead • Collaborate with Medical, Market Access, Patient Support, and ecosystem colleagues compliantly • Adjust targeting and call-point plans based on customer insights • Use business reports, sales data, competitive data, and promotional budgets for territory analysis and planning • Educate office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement procedures • Deliver office calls and sales presentations using approved marketing materials and technical references • Build relationships with office and practice personnel to support patient outcomes
• At least one qualifying experience: 2+ years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience; less experience considered for employees completing the Otsuka ReadyNow program • Or 3+ years of business-to-business or equivalent outside sales experience in regulated, clinical, or customer engagement settings • Or 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience, such as Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, RN, or similar, with patient-facing, medical education, or therapy-focused responsibilities • Ability to communicate complex clinical information and translate scientific data into clear, practical value propositions • Strong stakeholder influence capabilities • Commitment to ethical business practices and regulatory compliance • Ability to assimilate and communicate complex clinical and product information • Must reside within a commutable distance of 50 miles from the primary city in the sales territory • Ability to use competitive data, business reports, sales data, and promotional budgets for territory planning • Knowledge of territory and business conditions affecting sales results • Ability to educate office staff on payer guidelines and reimbursement procedures • Ability to use approved promotional materials, technical references, studies, and package inserts • Demonstrated product knowledge of own product and competition • Ability to build relationships with healthcare office and practice personnel
