Description

• Lead installation and commissioning of assigned microscopy systems and options in compliance with factory specifications • Perform User Familiarization training during installations • Execute scheduled and emergency preventive and corrective maintenance • Diagnose root causes and validate repairs against performance benchmarks for spectral resolution, indexing accuracy, and detector calibration • Build customer relationships through responsive communication and hands-on training • Provide remote support to minimize downtime and maximize uptime • Resolve complex hardware and software issues using specialized tools • Calibrate critical components and implement performance-enhancing system upgrades • Collaborate across teams, escalate issues when needed, and maintain detailed documentation • Support customer installations and service needs throughout North and South America

🎯 Exigences

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Life Science, or a related technical field • 3–5 years of field service experience in the microscopy or analytical instrumentation industry • Proficiency with digital multimeters and oscilloscopes • Strong interest in computer hardware architecture and system components • Familiarity with configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting Windows operating systems • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and system integration schematics • Valid driver's license and safe driving record • Valid passport and ability to travel independently • Physical agility and comfort working in confined or awkward spaces • Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. • Availability for extensive weekday travel, Monday through Friday • Hands-on experience with AFM, SEM, fluorescence, and confocal microscopy preferred • Proficiency in calibration, optimization, and maintenance of scientific imaging systems preferred • Skill configuring and troubleshooting imaging acquisition software preferred • Strong manual dexterity, communication, listening, problem-solving, adaptability, and collaboration skills
