Description

• Architect, build, and optimize data pipelines, data lake, and data warehouse environments • Ingest and manage data from SQL Server and other sources • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or equivalent platforms • Automate, monitor, and optimize data flows for quality, performance, scalability, and reliability • Define data requirements and prioritize data projects with departmental leaders, business users, and analytics teams • Collaborate with database administrators, BI developers, data scientists, and application teams • Support Power BI initiatives and enable self-service analytics • Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, data models, and data governance processes • Produce and update a data dictionary for non-technical business users • Enforce data governance, security policies, access controls, and regulatory compliance controls • Configure and maintain role-based and object-level security • Document and refine data engineering change management policies and version-controlled environments • Research and recommend data engineering tools, frameworks, and solutions, particularly Microsoft Fabric and Power BI • Handle ad hoc data requests and troubleshoot data issues • Monitor and troubleshoot integrations across SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, and cloud environments • Resolve production incidents to ensure data availability • Advocate for data best practices and wider Power BI adoption

🎯 Exigences

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required • 5+ years of data engineering or related experience • Strong SQL knowledge, including DDL and DML • Exposure to SQL Server, DB2, and Oracle • Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or equivalent • Familiarity with Power BI development, administration, or deployment • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or similar data platforms is highly desirable • Experience with source control tools such as Azure DevOps or Git • Cloud platform experience, preferably Azure, or AWS/GCP, especially data storage and processing • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, PowerShell, SQL, DAX, or MDX is beneficial • Knowledge of big data frameworks such as Spark or streaming platforms such as Kafka is a plus • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio, or equivalent IDEs • Dimensional modeling using Kimball or similar methodologies • Working knowledge of data lakes, lakehouses, and modern data infrastructure • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Excellent communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders • Familiarity with healthcare and/or workers’ compensation terminology and business concepts is a plus
