• Serve as a key person on the project team under light supervision • Serve as primary contact with clients, consultants, and public agencies on assigned projects • Direct the work of others • Act as a project manager and/or project leader in a team environment • Determine standards for project development • Lead development of interior design concepts and interpret clients’ needs • Lead program development • Lead or participate in project phase charrettes, project kick-off, schematic design, design development, and construction documents • Interpret technical codes and conduct research when needed • Participate in interviews, internal staffing management, and revenue management • Lead or participate in project budget development and management • Lead marketing efforts to win work • Act as a mentor to the project team • Participate actively in all aspects of practice management • Grow in the profession and uphold the firm’s core values • Perform other duties as assigned
• Professional License/NCIDQ required • Honest, direct and constructive communication • Substantial knowledge of all phases of the design process • Ability to lead individuals/groups of people, including consultants, to successful project completion • Ability to professionally represent the firm to the client and community • Ability to maintain long-term client relationships and win work • Competence in computer software including Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and specification writing software • Extensive experience in all phases of interior architectural projects and their management
