Description

• Manage a team of at least five employees, including hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, coaching, and accountability • Lead delivery of the enterprise data platform roadmap through sequenced execution plans, backlogs, and measurable outcomes • Establish engineering standards for maintainability, organization, repeatability, and team performance • Own day-to-day Data Engineering execution, including task breakdown, sprint planning, delegation, delivery unblocking, engineering reviews, and feedback • Drive implementation of Medallion architecture across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers • Partner with the Data Architect on implementation patterns, reference pipelines, and guardrails • Drive lightweight decision-making and accountability • Establish DataOps and SDLC practices, including CI/CD, branching and release patterns, code reviews, and operational runbooks • Improve pipeline observability and reliability through monitoring of freshness, staleness, failures, and quality signals • Ensure predictable responses to incidents and support requests • Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and shape requests into scoped platform work • Develop future leaders and succession plans through mentoring and strategic delegation • Promote company values with internal and external stakeholders • Participate in strategic business initiatives and cross-functional projects as required

🎯 Exigences

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or relevant professional experience • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in software/data engineering • Experience building production data pipelines and data platforms • 2+ years of experience in a formal or informal lead capacity • Experience with team leadership, task breakdown, reviews, delivery ownership, and cross-functional coordination • Direct team management experience, including hiring/interviewing and formal performance reviews • Hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark), Boomi/Rivery, and Delta Lake patterns • Strong ETL/ELT design and implementation experience • Experience orchestrating ingestion and transformation workflows across curated layers • Experience defining efficient, non-disruptive data access patterns for upstream SQL Server systems • Expertise implementing Medallion architecture across Bronze/Silver/Gold layers • Understanding of ingestion strategies for APIs, CDC-enabled databases, and file drops • Track record of improving team maturity through standards, patterns, documentation, and predictable throughput • Experience mentoring or training team members • Cross-functional collaboration experience • Ability to communicate and present effectively to internal and external stakeholders at all levels • Strong organizational and workload-management skills • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and meet project deadlines • High confidence, integrity, and professional courtesy • Strong Microsoft suite experience, including Teams or similar software preferred • Ability to learn, solve problems, and perform detailed analysis • Business operations and process understanding, or willingness to learn expeditiously • Experience working in a fully remote team preferred but not required • Ability to work from a private, focused home office with frequent video and voice calls • Ability to use a PC and phone throughout the day • Ability to travel periodically, up to approximately 10% • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
