Description

• Conduct on-site application analyses at customer facilities • Gather facility data through observation, measurements, photos, video, telematics, and operational data • Present findings and recommendations to warehouse leaders, operations teams, and executives • Specify forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, order pickers, AGVs, and related equipment • Evaluate and recommend equipment across major forklift brands using OEM and dealership expertise • Maintain knowledge of major forklift OEM product lines and MHE classes I through VII • Build and maintain a specification library and decision tools • Join account management teams on customer visits, prospect walk-throughs, and business reviews • Support solution development, customer meetings, equipment comparisons, and technical objections • Train account management teams on equipment fundamentals, application principles, OEM differences, and fleet-solution positioning • Partner with Supplier Management on vendor programs, pricing alignment, OEM comparisons, and market trends • Work with Operations and Service teams to compare equipment performance against specifications • Advise leadership on equipment trends, OEM performance, automation, telematics, alternative power, and emerging technologies • Travel at least 60% and work across home-office, customer-site, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, and travel environments

🎯 Exigences

• 10+ years of progressive experience with material handling equipment in a major forklift OEM or authorized dealership environment • Demonstrated expertise with one or more major forklift brands and ability to evaluate solutions across brands • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, related field, or equivalent work experience • Experience in application engineering, fleet consulting, equipment sales engineering, national accounts, product management, dealership operations, or related technical roles • Deep knowledge of MHE classes I through VII, warehouse operations, facility layouts, duty cycles, and equipment applications • Experience conducting customer-site application surveys and translating operating requirements into equipment specifications and fleet recommendations • Experience supporting complex, multi-site or national customers through technical presentations and cross-functional solution development • Ability to read facility drawings and rack layouts and interpret throughput, utilization, hour meters, and telematics data • Strong analytical skills and comfort with Excel, fleet management platforms, and customer data • Ability to translate technical information into clear, business-focused conversations • Willingness and ability to travel 60% or more, including overnight travel • Valid driver’s license and ability to fly domestically without restriction • Familiarity with AGV/AMR automation, lithium-ion power, warehouse management systems, and emerging fleet technologies • Six Sigma, Lean, industrial engineering, equipment leasing, or equipment finance experience
