📋 Description

• Manage the risk-based inspection regime for identified Large Businesses • Undertake Managing Gas Safety Assessments • Coordinate planned field inspections with field staff • Ensure Large Businesses comply with recognised industry standards and manage gas safety effectively • Act as day-to-day manager and central technical/operational contact for Large Businesses and GSMR • Implement Gas Safe Register strategies within assigned registrations • Work with and support Field Operational Teams, including Operations Managers and Inspectors • Ensure monitoring requirements are completed efficiently and feedback is delivered promptly and constructively • Support enforcement bodies such as HSE and local authorities • Support escalation and resolution of complex or sensitive complaints • Support proportionate sanctions against registered businesses • Maximise service opportunities and minimise risks to Gas Safe Register objectives • Follow health and safety policies and risk assessments • Support stakeholder activities and other departments when required • Complete administration within prescribed timescales • Comply with Capita company policies • Travel across the assigned area • Complete high-quality reports and administration within agreed timescales • Support proportionate action where concerns are identified and manage complex or sensitive professional conversations

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced gas professional and subject matter expert with extensive gas industry experience and relevant qualifications • Must hold ACS certificates of competence: CCN1, CENWAT1, CKR1 and HTR1 • Additional ACS certificates in LPG, Non-Domestic & Catering, LAU1 and DAH1 are ideally preferred • In-depth knowledge of enforcement bodies affected by the Registration Scheme • Ability to use tools and undertake appropriate tests and checks during inspection work • Physically fit to work on gas meters, pipework and appliances at low, medium and higher levels, including use of step and extendable ladders • Relevant experience and/or qualification in a management discipline • Relevant Auditor qualification • In-depth knowledge of the gas industry sector affected by the Registration Scheme • Appropriate underpinning gas industry experience, knowledge and technical skills • Full, clean driver’s licence • Ability to liaise with businesses and corporate contacts and build relationships • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Problem-solving and risk-management ability • Understanding of KPIs and PIs relating to the contract • Presentation and facilitation skills • Negotiating skills • Computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook • Some project or contract management experience or qualification is ideally preferred
