📋 Description

• Processes patient changes in insurance • Ensures payor changes are completed and payment is guaranteed prior to delivery • Verifies that correct product and payor are used for service and therapy • Contacts payors to verify insurance coverage and eligibility requirements • Obtains verbal/written authorization for medical treatment • Researches and resolves accounts and identifies gaps between payor requirements and billing documentation • Answers inbound calls from patients with updates to their insurance • Coordinates and contacts patients and referrals to obtain necessary testing • Documents account activity in ACIS and other systems as required • Complies with all regulatory compliance areas and policies

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma is required • One year of related work experience is required • One year of medical billing experience is required • Must be familiar with payor contractual requirements • Basic skills in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Word • English (reading, writing, verbal) • Basic level mathematical proficiency
