📋 Description

• Support principal and technical director team members in delivering key frameworks and projects • Liaise daily with clients, contractors and third-party stakeholders • Provide expert process knowledge and input into water and wastewater design and delivery schemes • Act as a process expertise point and thought leader within Aqua consultants • Conduct capacity assessments of water and wastewater treatment works • Perform calculations and gap analyses for current and new consent requirements • Create mass balances, P+IDs, control philosophies and commissioning plans • Participate in HAZOPS, HAZIDS and HAZCOMMS • Assess potable treatment works, raw water deterioration parameters and network risks • Develop process options for outline and detailed design • Write detailed technical reports based on calculations and site data • Engage stakeholders to gather data and develop scheme solutions • Collaborate with the costing team to cost options efficiently • Coordinate with clients and report project progress • Manage project tasks and design-package deliverables • Conduct technical reviews and recommend process optimisation parameters • Assist project managers and site staff with commissioning and optimisation data evaluation • Advise on process engineering best practice, consent compliance, chemical handling, design and operational health and safety • Develop and promote environmental best practice • Attend stakeholder meetings, site visits and design workshops • Support and mentor graduate, consultant and senior team members

🎯 Requirements

• Accredited degree in Chemical, Environmental or Process Engineering • Good project management skills, including organisational and diligence skills • Good analytical techniques and manipulation of data sets • Ability to assess process, carbon footprint and environmental solutions innovatively • Good communication, report writing and interpersonal skills • Experience creating process mass balances and site optimisation plans • Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams on a diverse project portfolio • Client and stakeholder management experience • Ability to lead projects • Practical site experience with sampling and/or jar testing would be beneficial • Ability to apply industry best practice and latest technology and innovation to new scheme solutions • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and specialist packages such as AutoCAD, Workspace and CRM systems • Full UK permit for work or residency • Membership of a relevant chartered institute is essential • Further education or a second degree in a process engineering-related discipline would be beneficial
