📋 Description

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, response and repair to gas heating and plumbing systems • Work across care homes, NHS buildings, universities, local councils, sheltered housing, commercial premises and other properties throughout the North East region • Participate in a call-out rota of 1 week in 4 • Diagnose faults on boilers, water heaters, warm air systems and other equipment • Complete maintenance and PPM certification paperwork on the PDA system • Maintain and repair gas plant equipment, plumbing, heating systems and components • Identify additional works outside contractual requirements and provide accurate quotations • Complete work-related documentation accurately and on time • Comply with company policies, Health & Safety policies and procedures • Carry out work safely and diligently • Attend and participate in training and appraisal activities

🎯 Requirements

• Commercial gas qualifications and experience • Gas Safe registration • CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1 qualifications • Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures • Full UK Driving Licence • Ability to communicate at all levels, both orally and in writing • Generally IT literate • Customer-focused approach • At least 1 year's commercial gas experience (preferred) • Experience working within care homes or the public sector (desirable) • Plumbing, air conditioning or commercial plant fault-finding experience (desirable) • Good general knowledge of electrics (desirable)

• Salary of up to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications • Overtime rate paid after 40 hours, prior to out-of-hours call outs • £125 per week standby payment, plus 1.5x rate door-to-door for call outs • Double time paid after midnight and on Sundays • Bank holidays worked are rewarded with overtime plus a day in lieu • Ongoing, optional use of a company van • Company pension scheme • Company smartphone provided • Tablet and test equipment provided • Training provided • Career development opportunities • Full-time, permanent role
