📋 Description

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team • Lead engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems and support them throughout delivery • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle • Participate in ideation, articulate technical constraints, and partner on risk and trade-off decisions • Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology, and business issues • Support operations and artifact availability by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating issues, and participating in on-call efforts • Establish and improve code review and design standards • Advocate for engineering standards through writing and tech talks • Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale • Experience using Python or Kotlin • Track record developing highly available distributed systems • Experience with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes • Experience building and managing workflow orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, Flyte, Prefect, Temporal, or Luigi • Experience or working knowledge scaling Spark or Flink for extremely large datasets on Kubernetes • Ability to define technical plans for significant features or system components with elegant, simple, and extensible designs • Ability to write high-quality, understandable code • Proficiency making significant changes in a large codebase safely • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
