📋 Description

• Visit client sites to inspect and assess plant, equipment, and installations • Anticipate clients’ needs and help ensure compliance with relevant legislation • Work closely with the Engineer Surveyor team under a Senior Operations Team Leader • Prepare examination reports following inspections using electronic reporting • Carry out hands-on inspections of lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, and construction plant • Organise weekly work, meetings, visits, and work allocation • Travel within the local allocated work area • Process documentation and complete general administration • Support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors when required • Work at height and in confined spaces, including lifting and climbing in hot and cold conditions • Work in environments involving noise and dust

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced engineer with good knowledge of the Lift and Crane discipline • Up to date knowledge and understanding of relevant compliance and regulatory rules and procedures relating to the Lift and Crane discipline • Background in lifts, cranes, materials handling equipment, with hands-on experience in manufacturing, repair, or maintenance • Strong customer interaction skills • Good oral and written communication skills • NVQ Level 3 or above in a Mechanical-related subject • Full valid UK driving licence • Effective time management skills • Ability to organise work independently • Comfortable using tablets and smartphones • Willingness to make informed decisions and take responsibility • Ability to plan short-, medium-, and long-term work • Ability to travel effectively within the local allocated work area • Ability to process documentation and undertake administration in a timely manner • Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors • Incorporated Engineer (desirable)
