📋 Description

• Independently manage a portfolio of complex reinsurance claims involving asbestos, environmental, and other latent injury exposures • Analyze liability, damages, and contractual obligations to drive strategic claim outcomes • Interpret and apply facultative and treaty reinsurance contracts, CGL, umbrella, and excess policies to determine coverage • Establish accurate case reserves and seek management approval for exposures exceeding authority • Develop and execute action plans for evaluating, negotiating, and resolving reported claims • Maintain thorough and timely claim documentation and ensure compliance with internal guidelines • Stay current on emerging legal trends, industry developments, and significant case law • Serve as a corporate witness or representative in litigation, arbitration, and other dispute-resolution settings when required • Travel approximately twice per year to build team connections • Work with internal teams, management, external cedents, and brokers to resolve complex claims

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience preferred; 3+ years will be considered for strong candidates with demonstrated capability • Strong knowledge of reinsurance contracts, insurance coverage principles, claim processes, and relevant case law • Experience evaluating and resolving complex bodily injury and property damage reinsurance claims involving mass-tort exposures • Ability to collaborate effectively in virtual and in-person settings with internal teams, management, external cedents, and brokers • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Copilot • Aptitude for learning new technology and claims systems • Exceptional written communication skills • Background investigation required • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position • Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Valid photo identification available at the start of the interview; internal candidates are exempt from this requirement
