• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers in order to develop new business in line with Department strategy and goals. • Establish and communicate objectives with target brokers. • Review, negotiate and accept or decline submitted business using assigned underwriting authority. • Maintain account information in the appropriate system files as respects documentation and correspondence. • Support business as warranted by attending important events (PLUS, WSIA). • Review monthly reports for accuracy of data. • Continuously monitor portfolio of accounts using proactive diary to ensure information is up to date. • Alert Vice President immediately where there is a material deterioration in account status or condition. • Operate as an effective team member by supporting colleagues and contributing in the delivery and achievement of overall team and business objectives.
• Bachelors Degree is a minimum requirement. • Experience with Professional Liability underwriting practices and procedures. • 7 years Professional Liability experience required. • Associated classes or courses and/or industry license, or designation is desirable.
