Animals Asia is a non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to ending bear bile farming and improving the welfare of animals across Asia. For over 25 years it has rescued hundreds of bears and other animals, operated award-winning sanctuaries, and pursues change through rescue, veterinary care, education, advocacy and government partnership. The charity focuses on ending cruelty (notably bear bile farming and the dog meat trade), restoring animals' lives at sanctuaries, and campaigning for policy and public behaviour change across the region.

📋 Description

• Process, code and reconcile donations across all relevant giving channels, including manual downloads and platform outputs • Support daily, weekly, month-end and year-end reconciliation between CRM and bank data • Maintain accurate donor and gift records and ensure data integrity and policy compliance • Resolve processing exceptions promptly to reduce backlog and support financial reporting • Perform appropriate bank account administration and prepare bank information for CRM reconciliation • Administer giving platforms and ensure outputs are downloaded, checked and processed on schedule • Ensure files, reports and outputs are ready for senior review • Complete routine bank data checks and downloads • Update Gift Aid declarations and maintain audit trails • Prepare data for Gift Aid checks and claims before senior review • Support the cross-team Gift Aid improvement project • Maintain data quality to maximise eligible claims and reduce compliance risk • Document processes, maintain procedure manuals and identify workflow improvements • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that reduce manual intervention and strengthen reporting • Support cross-training and knowledge distribution to reduce single points of failure • Ensure processing implications are considered in new giving products or supporter journeys • Collaborate with Supporter Care, Finance, Data & Insight, and CX project teams • Prepare basic operational data or summaries for CX project work • Promote and advocate Animals Asia to the general public • Follow established Animals Asia procedures and policies

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in gift processing, supporter care, finance administration or similar operational roles • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in financial or data-sensitive tasks • Comfortable working under direction, following established procedures and escalating issues appropriately • Strong understanding of CRM systems and donor data management • Experience with Blackbaud CRM desirable but not essential • Ability to manage routine workloads and meet daily/weekly deadlines • Proven ability to manage time-sensitive workloads and balance competing priorities • Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style within a small, busy, cross-functional team • Experience with reconciliation, bank data, or Gift Aid administration highly valuable • Well-organised and steady, with a reliable, resilient approach • Solution-focused with a proactive, “can do” approach and intellectual curiosity • Comfortable taking ownership and working within a structured workflow • Professional, discreet and committed to confidentiality • Thoughtful, considerate and aligned with Animals Asia’s values • Supportive, proactive team member who works well with senior colleagues and contributes to shared goals • Passion for animal welfare desirable • Able to work efficiently from home with a stable internet connection • Willing to work occasional extended hours during peak periods • Able to accommodate flexible working hours with global colleagues
