📋 Description

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered systems that increase Engineering team effectiveness • Work with Frontend, Backend, AI/ML, Infrastructure, and FDE teams to learn workflows and improve throughput, quality, and quantity • Evaluate software development offerings from frontier labs, infrastructure providers, hyperscalers, and neoclouds • Understand tool capabilities, identify extensible edges, and build connective tissue between systems • Work directly with Laureates and leadership to determine what to measure, build, and buy • Interface with engineering teams to understand how work happens at Laurel • Partner with teams and individual contributors to teach tools, collect feedback, and iterate • Design systems consumable by both human and agent users • Create CI/CD pipelines for extreme throughput and agent interactivity • Work across application platforms for external products and internal usage • Drive distribution and adoption of tools • Collect feedback through word of mouth and technical telemetry • Monitor industry news and trends and form opinions on what to pursue or ignore • Build and ship continuously while operating with high ownership and autonomy

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Platform, Infrastructure, DevEx, or DevOps roles • Ability to independently architect and ship complex systems with minimal oversight • Experience with APIs, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and data-intensive applications • Experience building with agent primitives: Skills / MCPs / Hooks, SDKs, multi-agent systems, routing, context and cost management • Experience using configuration management tools such as Nix / NixOS, Homebrew, or MDM tools • Experience with Kubernetes and AWS • Development experience with Terraform, Go, and TypeScript • Experience working in startup environments • Significant experience with Linux administration • Familiarity with Git • Experience participating in a regular engineering on-call rotation • Experience with CI tooling/platforms • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments with rapidly evolving requirements • Clear communication with engineers and non-technical stakeholders • Strong ownership, execution, speed, iteration, and customer-impact orientation • No visa sponsorship available; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
