Appvia is a company focused on providing cloud solutions that streamline public cloud delivery, enhance security, and optimize costs. Appvia offers a range of tools and services for developers and platform engineers, such as Wayfinder for developer self-service, Tako for Docker Compose migration to Kubernetes, and Terranetes for managing Terraform resources. Their services are designed to increase developer productivity, ensure robust security measures, and facilitate a standardized approach to cloud management across multiple platforms like AWS and Azure. Appvia helps organizations adopt cloud-native strategies, providing key integrations and policy management to improve cloud resource provisioning and reduce overall cloud spend.

📋 Description

• Act as the senior lead contact for the client account: establish, nurture and deepen relationships at executive and senior stakeholder level. • Understand the client’s business drivers, cloud strategy, pain-points (cost, governance, developer productivity, time-to-market), and position Appvia’s value accordingly. • Develop account growth plans: identify and prioritise new opportunities, coordinate with sales/pre-sales, define proposals, and support contract negotiations. • Monitor health of the account: satisfaction metrics, retention, usage of our platform/services, referenceability. • Oversee the portfolio of projects/engagements within the account: ensure governance, appropriate resourcing, milestone adherence, risk/issue management, budget/margin tracking. • Provide technical oversight: ensure architectural integrity, alignment with cloud best-practices (governance, security, platform engineering), quality of deliverables and alignment to client strategy. • Work with internal teams (engineering/architects, consulting, service delivery) to ensure capability and capacity for the account. • Run customer workshops and educational sessions to help customers understand the journey, approach and expectations on adopting platform engineering, AI or data platforms. • Act as an escalation point for major delivery issues, guiding resolution, and maintaining client confidence. • Translate technical delivery into business outcomes: e.g., developer productivity uplift, cost savings, faster release cycles, governance/compliance improvements. Use metrics to track value delivered. • Develop and present value-case updates, account reviews, roadmap presentations to the client leadership. • Identify new product/service offerings that match the client’s next-phase needs (for example: AI accelerator, cost optimisation, internal dev-platform, Kubernetes automation) and help position them. • Lead internal lessons-learned and continuous improvement: capture what works in the account, feed improvements back into Appvia’s offering. • Work cross-functionally: with sales/pre-sales, product teams, consulting/engineering, finance, and marketing/referrals to ensure the account’s growth and delivery success. • Mentor more junior engagement/delivery leads within the account (or across accounts) to build a delivery organisation that scales. • Contribute to Appvia’s thought leadership: participate in client workshops, speak at customer events, contribute case-studies or white-papers.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years’ experience in cloud consulting, technical delivery leadership, digital transformation or account ownership. • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), platform engineering, DevOps, governance, cost optimisation and developer enablement. • Proven success managing large/complex enterprise accounts or portfolios in a consultancy/professional services environment. • Experience leading multi-stream technical engagements with accountability for delivery quality, forecasting, margin and commercial growth. • Confident communicating with leadership level stakeholders, able to articulate technical concepts in business terms and influence decisions. • Skilled in building and executing account growth plans, identifying opportunities and supporting proposals or pre-sales activity. • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, able to command a room, build trust quickly and manage conflicting priorities. • A proactive, “get-things done” mindset who is able to take ownership of client outcomes and drive through ambiguity. • Strategic thinker with execution focus, able to map business strategy to technical roadmap to delivery plan. • Customer-centric orientation: someone who is able to prioritise client value, anticipate needs, build trust and long‐term partnerships. • Technical curiosity and continuous learner who can stay ahead of cloud trends, platform engineering best practices, AI/data developments. • Collaborative style with the ability to work across internal teams, influence without direct authority, build shared ownership. • Certification in relevant cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) at an expert/professional level is highly desirable. • Certification in Kubernetes administration is desirable: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKSS).
