📋 Description

• Own and evolve enterprise data architecture supporting actuarial, analytical, and research use cases • Design, build, and optimize complex data pipelines, databases, and data models • Lead development and orchestration of data workflows using Apache Airflow or equivalent frameworks • Enable consistent and trusted reporting by defining standardized datasets, calculations, and business definitions • Partner with analytics teams to ensure data models support dashboards, ad‑hoc analysis, and executive reporting • Lead and mentor engineers, providing hands‑on technical guidance and architectural direction • Manage data engineering efforts across the full project lifecycle, balancing priorities and resources • Automate data ingestion and integrate internal and external data sources using modern technologies • Promote best practices across data modeling, documentation, testing, version control, and deployment • Build strong partnerships with actuarial, analytics, and technology peers across the organization • Operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces and break complex challenges into actionable solutions.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring engineering teams • Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and reporting‑friendly data design • Strong hands‑on experience with Python for data engineering and automation • Proven ability to deliver scalable, production‑grade data solutions • Experience supporting analytics or actuarial functions within insurance or financial services • Hands‑on experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks • Familiarity with MLOps and analytics‑driven production systems • Familiarity designing and operating data pipelines using Apache Airflow or equivalent orchestration tools • Strong data manipulation skills and resilient problem‑solving ability • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders • Exceptional collaboration and relationship building skills • Comfortable handling ambiguous concepts and breaking down complex problems into manageable pieces • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
