📋 Description

• Manage projects through the whole project life cycle • Lead planning, execution and completion of major multi-disciplinary rail systems and signalling projects • Manage projects across design and construction • Lead project risk management, budget control, schedule performance, quality and safety • Coordinate design, construction and commissioning resources • Ensure AtkinsRéalis quality of work meets client requirements • Lead the main delivery schedule and achieve key milestones • Maintain and develop excellent client relationships • Support work winning through preparation of bids and tenders • Support talent development through technical training and mentoring • Work with experienced teams, AtkinsRéalis business units and supply chain partners across the UK and abroad

🎯 Requirements

• Experience managing rail systems and signalling projects from design through construction • Strong commitment to health and safety leadership • Experience managing implementation of systems and multi-disciplinary works, including construction and entry into service • Experience with Design & Build and Testing and Commissioning works • Ability to control construction, testing and commissioning activities • Experience managing sub-contracts • Track record of innovation, embracing new ways of working and using digital tools • Ability to establish robust programmes and report clearly to key stakeholders against milestones • Ability to plan work precisely, with focus on right-first-time delivery, optimal access strategy and avoiding rework • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Client management and relationship-building skills • Ability to set SMART objectives and measure performance • Understanding of change management, project risks, opportunities, risk controls and contingency • Knowledge of different contracting types, particularly NEC • Experience resolving commercial disputes and leveraging contracts to grow opportunities • Track record delivering construction projects to budget and improving contract financial performance • Strong leadership and managerial qualities • Proven team management, communication, motivation, mentoring and people development skills • Security clearance may be required; relevant clearance must be obtained if necessary • Security vetting may require proof of UK residency for 5 years or longer
