📋 Description

• Design and scale distributed systems and microservices • Develop and implement core features of the AI platform, including RAG-based knowledge bases, AI applications, voice, translation, and analytics features • Develop high-performance APIs, model data and databases, and implement modern frontends • Design multi-tenancy and role-based access controls • Account for encryption, data minimization, and auditability • Ensure the quality, cost efficiency, and observable behavior of AI features in production through evaluations, monitoring, and guardrails • Further develop existing systems, create clear structures, and reduce technical debt • Work with coding assistants and agents, and test and establish new tools and workflows • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, UX team, and consultants • Translate customer use cases into technical solutions • Communicate technical decisions transparently • Support the professional development of junior developers through code reviews and mentoring • Design architectures, review pull requests, and contribute code

🎯 Requirements

• At least five years of experience developing complex software systems, ideally in AI and/or SaaS/cloud environments • Excellent TypeScript skills • Experience with Node.js and, ideally, frameworks such as NestJS • Excellent knowledge of software architecture for distributed systems, microservices, API design, and scalability • Frontend experience, for example with Vue.js, along with a solid understanding of full-stack relationships • Strong knowledge of databases, data modeling, and performance optimization • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Docker, and operating SaaS applications • Routine experience with coding assistants and agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot • Ability to critically review generated code • Proactive experimentation with new tools, models, and workflows • Experience with agentic setups such as cloud-based coding agents, MCP integrations, and automated reviews is a strong plus • In-depth understanding of modern AI/LLM concepts such as RAG, function calling, embeddings, and agents • Clean code, testing, and code reviews • Ability to clearly justify technical decisions in German and English • Experience with the GDPR, ISO 27001, or the EU AI Act is a plus • Willingness to take ownership, contribute to product thinking, constructively challenge requirements, and make technical decisions
