📋 Description

• Define the evidence strategy for Baxter’s Advanced Surgery portfolio • Lead development of clinical and economic value evidence supporting scientific exchange and healthcare decision-making • Design and maintain budget impact and cost-effectiveness economic models across the surgical portfolio • Translate hospital utilization data into total cost of care, efficiency, and product optimization insights • Generate economic evidence supporting value-based agreements and hospital contracting • Define evidence-generation strategy and identify clinical and economic evidence gaps in the U.S. surgical market • Lead retrospective real-world evidence studies and guide analytic execution with RWD analysts • Conduct literature reviews and meta-analyses benchmarking product performance against competitive technologies • Lead peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, and conference submissions • Develop compliant scientific exchange tools for Medical Science Liaisons and field teams • Lead Medical/Legal/Regulatory review processes • Partner with Medical Affairs, RWD analysts, and cross-functional teams • Support non-promotional engagement with payers, hospital administrators, and health systems • Influence Medical and Commercial stakeholders while maintaining scientific independence

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Epidemiology, or related field • 5+ years of HEOR experience in MedTech, Pharma, or consulting • Proven experience developing budget impact and cost-effectiveness economic models • Experience in scientific publication development and evidence communication • Ability to interpret outputs from real-world data analyses • Experience with SQL, R, or Python-supported workflows • Up to 30% travel • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. • Experience with surgical or hospital-based product portfolios preferred • Familiarity with U.S. healthcare economics, hospital cost accounting, and payer reimbursement preferred • Experience supporting value-based care initiatives or hospital contracting strategies preferred • Prior experience working in or alongside Medical Affairs organizations preferred
