📋 Description

• Partner with account executives, Solution Consultant peers, and leadership to create account and deal strategies • Plan customer engagements that lead to compelling solutions • Manage organized discovery processes to uncover customer needs and requirements • Craft solutions based on Benchling capabilities, industry best practices, and standard R&D functions • Develop data models and processes that map to customer science and fit existing technology landscapes • Present and demonstrate solutions persuasively to prospects and customers • Manage customer questions and objections and resolve concerns • Present solutions competitively, including awareness of in-house alternatives • Engage product management with prospect and customer needs and industry trends • Influence the product roadmap for market success • Clarify the roadmap for customers when needed to influence buying decisions • Create reusable solutions, content, and trainings • Support the extended team and share expertise • Mentor and partner with other Solution Consultants

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry or similar Life Science field • Minimum of 4 years of work experience, ideally customer facing • Experience with scientific/informatics software such as LIMS or ELN preferred • Familiarity with antibody engineering software is a plus • Experience demonstrating scientific software in a pre-sales setting to top 20 biotech and pharma companies highly desired • Capacity to model scientific data and craft solutions based on product knowledge and industry best practices • Experience demonstrating and supporting research instruments, reagents or software desired • Understanding of research technology generally adopted by biopharma companies • Ability to quickly implement new customer engagement processes • Ability to establish credibility as a trusted advisor for scientists and pitch to scientific buyers • Must be fluent in English • Willingness to travel to customer sites 25–30%
