📋 Description

• Define and communicate Buckhill’s C2MS product vision, strategy and goals. • Develop and maintain a prioritised product roadmap based on market research, client feedback and business priorities. • Gather and translate requirements from underwriters, brokers and operations teams within the Lloyd’s and London Market. • Own the overall product backlog, ensuring well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria. • Collaborate with Client Product Owners, Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Designers, Solutions Engineers, Customer Support and QA teams. • Make trade-off decisions based on value, effort and impact. • Collaborate with marketing, sales and support teams on product launches, adoption and growth. • Analyse product performance through metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement. • Represent the client voice throughout product development. • Identify and mitigate product risks. • Ensure solutions meet Lloyd’s Market regulatory, compliance and operational standards. • Leverage AI tools, including Claude, for product discovery, user story development and backlog management. • Champion AI-assisted ways of working and identify AI-enabled product opportunities. • Travel to meet clients and partners as needed. • Line manage and develop the Client Product Owner team, including goal setting, 1:1s, reviews and development planning. • Own team capability and capacity planning, including recruitment, onboarding, workload allocation and succession. • Set consistent product standards across the team. • Develop London Market knowledge across the team, including CII LM1 and LM2 training. • Act as escalation point for product decisions and conflicting stakeholder priorities. • Represent Product Management & Delivery in leadership forums and contribute to organisational and resource planning. • Build a culture of accountability, evidence-based decision making and continuous learning.

🎯 Requirements

• Substantial experience within the Lloyd’s of London or wider London Market, gained in underwriting operations, market operations, delivery, change or a comparable function within a managing agent, broker, MGA or market service provider. • Detailed working knowledge of London Market processes, including placement, policy administration, premium processing, delegated authority and coverholder operations, claims, and the regulatory environment specific to Lloyd’s. • Working knowledge of Agile delivery and the Product Owner role, whether gained as a practitioner, as a senior business stakeholder to a product or change team, or through formal training. • Demonstrable experience of leading, managing or developing others. • Track record of translating operational problems into system or process improvements. • Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. • Analytical mindset, proficiency in data-driven decision making, and strong attention to detail. • Comfortable with AI tools and proactive attitude towards embedding them into working practice. • Located in the UK with the right to work in the UK; willing to travel occasionally. • Prior formal Product Owner or Product Manager experience is desirable. • Product certifications such as PSPO or equivalent are desirable. • CII qualifications, particularly LM1 or LM2, or progress towards them, are desirable. • Insurance technology implementation, data migration or vendor-side delivery experience is desirable. • Broader InsurTech or FinTech background is desirable. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or relevant postgraduate qualification, is desirable.
