📋 Description

• Build native iOS apps that reinvent the ultrasound user experience for the mobile age • Champion continuous improvement of software architecture and team processes • Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver solutions to complex problems • Work with hardware, cloud, machine learning, control software, and imaging science teams to integrate cross-cutting features • Participate in user research sessions to understand real-world product usage • Collaborate with Android and iOS developers to clarify ambiguous requirements through iterative problem-solving • Work with product managers, designers, and clinical professionals to develop medical imaging experiences • Produce high-quality, efficient, well-tested modern Swift code • Follow established architecture patterns and evolve the codebase with the team • Work in a complex codebase with internal Swift packages managed by iOS, Device Software, Imaging, and AI teams • Mentor engineers at all levels • Work on deep learning applications, telemedicine, and integration with the Butterfly iQ device • Leverage Swift, SwiftUI, reactive programming, and GraphQL • Break down requirements into engineering tickets and deliverable work • Perform a broad variety of tasks supporting the role and responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science / Engineering or related field • A track record of professional achievement and problem solving • 5+ years of native iOS application development • Strong grasp of Swift and reactive framework design pattern • Strong grasp of SwiftUI and UIKit UI Design Development • Strong grasp of XCTest Unit Testing and knowledge of UI automation • Passion for creating something meaningful • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States • Butterfly Network will not provide immigration sponsorship of any kind for this position • Security adherence responsibilities, including following company security policies and procedures, securely using company assets, completing required security awareness training, safeguarding company data and systems, and reporting security incidents • Preferred: Interest and experience with complex application structures and internal libraries with Obj-C bridging layers • Preferred: Experience with Swift Package Manager and package creation • Preferred: Knowledge of graphics rendering and image processing, including OpenGL and Vulken • Preferred: Python and C++ experience
