• Perform conventional design engineering and analysis • Provide technical guidance on low- to medium-complexity projects • Perform technical site engineering for substation projects • Manage engineering design-related aspects of multidisciplinary or small-to-medium projects, including schedules, budgets, quality, design coordination, permitting, specifications, procurement, and construction • Collect, assimilate, and manage site development engineering data • Review and incorporate client-specific design standards • Coordinate technical aspects of site development projects and make project engineering execution decisions • Design or oversee site grading, pavement, landscaping, and storm, sanitary, and water utilities • Design or oversee temporary and permanent BMPs for construction and stormwater management • Develop or lead teams developing drawing packages using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoads • Coordinate civil site design with designers, engineers, project managers, internal disciplines, and partnering consultants • Attend and lead internal and external client meetings, conference calls, communications, and client site visits • Review local zoning ordinances and develop site layouts • Assist with obtaining federal, state, county, and local permits • Analyze and assist CAD support with topographic survey data formatting • Assist in reviewing RFIs, contractor submittals, and shop drawings • Assist with proposals and RFPs • Prepare project estimates for civil site design • Support business development with technical information for sales proposals and related activities • Ensure compliance with the company quality program
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent ABET accredited degree • Professional Engineering (PE) License required • 4 or more years of experience as a civil engineer • Experience in civil land development in the commercial, industrial, governmental, or aviation sectors • Construction experience is a plus • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task • Able to interface and perform in a team-based environment, and individually • Ability to travel to meetings and client sites throughout the United States • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, & MicroStation programs • Expert in Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads • Ability to work in the United States • Occasional flexibility in work hours to meet project deadlines required
