📋 Description

• Own, manage, and continuously refine product backlogs, ensuring clarity, prioritisation, and alignment to product strategy • Translate strategic initiatives and discovery insights into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria • Ensure backlog items are appropriately sized, sequenced, and ready for delivery • Lead backlog refinement and sprint planning with autonomy • Support delivery of complex or high-impact initiatives • Contribute to release planning and coordinate dependencies across teams • Provide clarity on complex requirements and edge cases to the development team • Identify and remove blockers to improve team flow and delivery effectiveness • Support and mentor Product Specialists • Validate work against acceptance criteria and Definition of Done • Support and guide QA and UAT processes • Build stakeholder relationships, manage expectations, and navigate competing priorities • Facilitate requirement discussions, challenge assumptions, and drive clarity • Communicate delivery progress, risks, and trade-offs • Analyse product performance, delivery metrics, and team effectiveness • Recommend and implement improvements to processes, tools, and ways of working • Contribute to scaling consistent product practices across teams • Act as a recognised subject matter expert within the relevant domain • Apply domain expertise to shape solutions, influence prioritisation, and improve product design • Partner with customers and stakeholders as a trusted advisor • Ensure solutions reflect industry best practice and deliver meaningful customer value

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Specialist within an agile environment • Proven ability to manage complex backlogs and deliver high-quality outcomes • Deep understanding of agile practices and their practical application in delivery teams • Deep and demonstrable expertise within the relevant industry domain • Experience working closely with customers or within the industry in a hands-on capacity • Ability to apply domain knowledge to solve complex problems and improve product outcomes • Strong understanding of relevant regulatory, commercial, or operational considerations • Recognised as a go-to expert for domain-specific knowledge and decision-making • Strong communication and facilitation skills, particularly in complex or ambiguous scenarios • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment without formal authority • Proven ability to work effectively across Product, Engineering, Design, and customer-facing teams • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex scenarios • Ability to use data, insights, and experience to inform decisions and recommendations • Strong focus on quality, with experience ensuring robust acceptance criteria and delivery standards • Ability to balance delivery pace with completeness and usability • Experience improving team delivery practices and outcomes • Strong familiarity with product and delivery tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence) • Comfortable working with technical teams and understanding system architecture, constraints, and dependencies
