📋 Description

• Operate, monitor, and enhance Civica’s production and cloud environments • Monitor live environments using Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog, and Azure Monitor • Respond to alerts, triage incidents, coordinate resolution, and restore service • Automate environment builds, deployments, and operational tasks using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash • Support and maintain environments across Azure, AWS, and VMware • Work with Docker and Kubernetes containerised workloads • Contribute to scaling and performance improvements • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative actions • Refine alerting thresholds, deployment processes, and monitoring coverage • Maintain runbooks and document operational standards • Collaborate with SRE, Platform, Development, support, and services teams • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to production alerts

🎯 Requirements

• Experience operating production systems in cloud or hybrid environments (Azure, AWS, or similar) • Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerisation, and supporting tools (Helm, ingress controllers) • Basic understanding of networking and infrastructure fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, VPNs, and firewalls) • Ability to troubleshoot networking issues, e.g. using pcap • Hands-on experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, or Go/Python) • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines • Fluency with version control tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar • Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, Elastic, Azure Monitor) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to stay calm during incidents • Collaborative communication skills and ability to thrive in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
