📋 Description

• Design and build platform services powering authentication, authorization, and audit across ClickHouse Cloud • Build unified RBAC/ReBAC services, token issuance and session handling, and SDKs for product teams • Model permissions and access-control primitives across ClickHouse, SQL Console, ClickPipes, and HyperDX • Ship libraries and APIs for other engineers to build against • Implement SAML, SCIM, OIDC, OAuth2, and MFA/passwordless protocol support • Own enterprise SSO and provisioning integrations end to end • Build audit and authorization-decision telemetry pipelines • Partner with product engineering teams to migrate bespoke authentication implementations to the shared platform • Design APIs that make platform adoption straightforward • Participate in the platform on-call rotation and own production reliability for critical-path systems

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years building production backend systems at scale • Comfort with at least one systems language: Go, Rust, or C++ • Comfort with at least one application language: TypeScript or Python • Hands-on experience designing and implementing an authentication or authorization service • Working knowledge of SAML, SCIM, OIDC, and OAuth2 at the protocol level, with ability to implement them • Experience designing APIs and SDKs used by other engineers • Experience operating distributed systems at scale, including caching strategies, consistency tradeoffs, and multi-region concerns • Familiarity with identity vendors such as Auth0, WorkOS, AWS IAM, GCP IAM, or Azure IAM • Strong production debugging skills • Experience with Zanzibar-style authorization systems, OpenFGA, or SpiceDB deployment is a bonus • Experience designing multi-tenant permission models is a bonus • Experience shipping widely adopted SDKs is a bonus
