📋 Description

• For the first 6 months, you will act as the tech lead, focusing on technical projects and directly contributing to code. • Spend at least 25% of your time being a strong individual contributor, driving the engineering quality and velocity of the team by being an exemplary practitioner • Build high-performance services using Golang and gRPC, creating seamless integrations that elevate Coinbase's customer experience • Be a thoughtful technical voice within the team, aiding in diligent architectural decisions and fostering a culture of high-quality code and engineering processes. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery and operation of multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale. • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to define strategic product roadmaps and make direct impacts on Coinbase’s international expansion • Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise • Mentor and coach team members on system design techniques and coding standards • Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering • You’ve experienced architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact • You’re passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together • Nice to haves: You have gone through a rapid growth in your company (from 10 to 100s of engineers) • Nice to haves: You have experience with Blockchain technology (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base etc..) • Nice to haves: You have experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices • Nice to haves: You’ve worked with Golang, Protobuf, Docker, MongoDB, Postgres, AWS • Nice to haves: You’ve built financial, high reliability or security systems • Nice to haves: Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
