📋 Description

• Build and maintain scalable data infrastructure, platforms, and tools for the OverWatch team • Collaborate with OverWatch engineering members to build, develop, and maintain operational systems, projects, and tools • Build new components and extend the current system • Improve the platform and tools to make the OverWatch team more effective in analysis and hunting • Bring research projects into production environments and integrate them with OWL systems • Work in a DevOps environment with responsibility for deployed systems, including an on-call rota • Take ownership and accountability for deliverables • Maintain high quality through appropriate tools and processes • Use and contribute to the open source community • Help build a platform scaling to millions of events per second and terabytes of data per day

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience • Experience with Golang or another language for web backends and pipelines, such as Python or Ruby, or compiled languages like Rust or C++ • Experience building web services with data processing pipelines and the required concepts • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases; Redis, Postgres, Cassandra, and Elasticsearch knowledge is relevant • Understanding of messaging or queueing software; Kafka experience helpful but not required • Linux skills and experience with large-scale, business-critical Linux environments • Understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges, particularly in cloud environments such as AWS • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment • Thorough understanding of engineering best practices, including testing paradigms, peer code reviews, and resilient architecture • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes • Ability to take ownership and accountability for deliverables • Ability to work as part of a distributed remote team across timezones • On-call rota participation • Bonus: authored or led successful open source libraries and projects • Bonus: contributions to the open source community • Bonus: prior cybersecurity or intelligence experience
