📋 Description

• Architect and engineer enterprise storage platforms for data integrity, availability, security, and disaster recovery readiness • Design and implement end-to-end Software Defined Storage, SAN, NAS, and object storage solutions across private cloud and data center environments • Evaluate emerging products, tools, and standards for storage, data protection, cloud, and compute platforms • Lead storage modernization, data protection, cyber recovery, data migration, and resilience engineering initiatives • Develop and execute enterprise strategies for backup, recovery, cyber vaulting, and business continuity • Maintain documentation of storage architectures, configurations, policies, and operational procedures • Partner with enterprise security teams to define and enforce controls protecting sensitive data • Recommend innovations in cloud storage, data protection, resiliency, and cybersecurity to improve performance and reduce cost • Provide expert guidance for multi-vendor storage technologies and optimize lifecycle, supportability, and performance • Mentor engineering teams and foster technical excellence and continuous improvement • Advise application, operations, and leadership teams on compute, storage, cloud, and data protection strategy • Drive standardization, automation, and orchestration to improve storage operations and infrastructure efficiency

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering with deep expertise in cloud storage, data protection, and cyber recovery • Expert-level knowledge of SAN, NAS, object storage, Software Defined Storage architectures, and related ecosystem technologies • Experience leading data center consolidation, large-scale data migrations, and cloud storage modernization efforts • Strong multi-vendor management experience across storage, backup, and cloud platform providers, including Dell PMAX, PFLEX, PowerScale, ObjectScale, and Vast • Expertise developing backup, recovery, and cyber resiliency strategies for mission-critical workloads • Experience with virtualization platforms such as OpenShift, VMware, and Hyper-V • Networking fundamentals a plus • Solid experience with Rancher, Kubernetes, and persistent storage • Understanding of security frameworks, compliance requirements, and security-control integration within cloud storage environments • Success designing and supporting large-scale, highly reliable, high-performance infrastructure platforms • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills • Outstanding communication and leadership capabilities • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • High school diploma plus 4 years of relevant work experience as an alternative to the bachelor’s degree
