📋 Description

• Writing fast, accurate, and engaging news stories across Dexerto's core coverage areas • Covering gaming, TV & Movies, anime, entertainment, food, social media, content creators, and viral internet culture • Identifying stories through social media, industry sources, and trend monitoring • Pitching original story ideas and features • Publishing and promoting stories across social media platforms including X and Facebook • Writing social copy that encourages engagement and helps stories reach new audiences • Working closely with editors to ensure stories meet Dexerto's editorial standards • Contributing ideas for headlines, angles, and follow-up coverage • Helping identify emerging trends before they become mainstream stories

🎯 Requirements

• Experience writing for a digital publication, website, newspaper, magazine, or similar outlet • Strong news judgment and an instinct for stories that will resonate with online audiences • Excellent writing, research, and fact-checking skills • A genuine interest in gaming, entertainment, social media, content creators, and online culture • A strong understanding of social media platforms and how stories spread online • Experience using platforms such as X, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, and Reddit • Experience posting content to social media accounts on behalf of a publication is desirable • The ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy • Someone who is happy covering a wide range of topics and adapting to new trends.
