📋 Description

• Write fast, accurate, and engaging news stories across Dexerto’s core coverage areas • Write gaming tips and guides, and occasionally contribute reviews • Cover gaming, TV and movies, anime, entertainment, food, social media, content creators, and viral internet culture • Identify stories through social media, industry sources, and trend monitoring • Pitch original story ideas and features • Publish and promote stories across social media platforms, including X and Facebook • Write social copy that encourages engagement and helps stories reach new audiences • Work closely with editors to meet Dexerto’s editorial standards • Contribute ideas for headlines, angles, and follow-up coverage • Help identify emerging trends before they become mainstream stories

🎯 Requirements

• Experience writing for a digital publication, website, newspaper, magazine, or similar outlet • Genuine interest in games and understanding of what players want to know • Ability to write clear, accurate gaming tips and guides • Strong news judgment and instinct for stories that resonate with online audiences • Excellent writing, research, and fact-checking skills • Interest in entertainment, social media, content creators, and online culture • Strong understanding of social media platforms and how stories spread online • Experience using X, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, and Reddit • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy • Willingness to cover a wide range of topics and adapt to new trends • Experience posting content to social media accounts on behalf of a publication is desirable
