📋 Description

• Investigate dormant and at-risk merchant accounts with 7 to 120 days of no trading activity • Manage an allocated caseload of dormant merchants in Salesforce • Carry out account checks, including trading activity, Companies House status, negative balances, chargebacks, refunds and cancellations • Gather and record supporting evidence and maintain accurate Salesforce case notes • Identify merchants trading with negative balances and monitor them • Contact merchants to establish reasons for dormancy • Reinitiate merchant trading, including reinstating Direct Debit mandates • Recover outstanding balances through invoicing, pay-by-link or other approved methods • Apply administration fees where appropriate under merchant contracts • Refer unpaid accounts to external debt collection agencies • Handle difficult conversations about balances, contract terms and fees • Raise Termination Fee invoices and balance adjustments in NetSuite • Close accounts that cannot be retained and stop recurring charges • Refer dormant accounts with unpaid chargebacks or refunds to the Chargeback Team • Ensure merchant communications use approved templates • Arrange and track terminal returns and invoice terminals not returned • Process billing cancellations and merchant account/store closures • Reactivate merchant IDs for merchants returning to trading • Deliver against individual and team KPIs and SLAs • Escalate high-value customers and complex cases to the Revenue Assurance Manager • Share insights on dormancy causes and contribute to process, guide and template improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in collections, credit control, accounts receivable or a similar investigative role • An analytical, inquisitive approach to identifying the root cause of issues • Customer first mentality and confidence in dealing with difficult conversations • Well organised, with the ability to manage a caseload and work to deadlines • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping • Comfortable working across multiple systems and data sets • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM, and a finance invoicing system such as NetSuite, desirable • Payments Sector knowledge desirable
