📋 Description

• Act as the bridge between Product and Engineering within an Agile delivery framework. • Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, QA, UX Designers, Scientists, and stakeholders to understand business objectives and product requirements. • Gather, analyse, challenge, and document business and user requirements. • Translate Epics into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting analysis documentation in Jira and Confluence. • Refine and maintain the product backlog and support prioritisation with Product Managers. • Analyse business processes and user workflows to identify product improvement opportunities. • Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. • Collaborate with Engineering and QA throughout delivery and resolve requirements questions. • Work across multiple Agile teams to ensure consistent requirements and successful delivery. • Identify and mitigate delivery risks and manage stakeholder expectations. • Perform and support User Acceptance Testing. • Use product analytics and customer feedback to identify future product improvements. • Contribute to wireframes, user flows, and lightweight prototypes. • Support customer discussions, technology research, and cross-functional product initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within a SaaS software environment. • Experience working within Agile Scrum teams throughout the software development lifecycle. • Strong experience gathering, analysing, documenting, and refining business requirements. • Proven experience translating business needs into Epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence to challenge assumptions and think independently. • Experience using Jira and Confluence or similar Agile tooling. • Strong Business Analysis experience within B2B Enterprise SaaS products. • Experience in requirements elicitation, process analysis, and user journey mapping. • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation. • Experience with backlog refinement, prioritisation, and working with Product Managers. • Strong stakeholder management and communication across Product, Engineering, QA, UX, and business teams. • Experience analysing business processes and translating complex requirements into deliverable work. • Quality Analysis and User Acceptance Testing experience. • Confidence working independently and driving ambiguous requirements to clear outcomes. • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is beneficial but not essential. • Experience within scientific software or Life Sciences is advantageous but not required. • Nice-to-have experience includes scientific software, ELNs, LIMS, scientific instrument data, Life Sciences software, Figma, product discovery, AI-powered products, Databricks, Power BI, Sigma, Spotfire, modern data platforms, and model-driven or multi-tenant SaaS applications.
