• Provide strategic leadership to a workforce of over 800 colleagues • Build, lead and develop a high-calibre leadership team accountable for operational delivery, financial outcomes and client satisfaction • Champion governance, controls, compliance, risk management and decision-making across the region • Shape the long-term people strategy, succession plans and leadership capability • Promote accountability, continuous improvement, innovation, diversity and inclusion • Drive operational performance using performance frameworks, data and insight • Embed best practice, standardisation and lean methodologies • Champion innovation and digital transformation using technology, automation and data-driven decision-making • Ensure compliance with regulatory, clinical, health and safety, and contractual obligations • Lead a proactive safety culture addressing risks, incidents and near misses • Drive financial discipline, profitability, service optimisation, productivity and cost transformation • Monitor and mitigate financial, contractual and operational risks • Hold responsibility for P&L and operational execution of £60m ACV, approximately 800 employees, 12 operational sites and four long-term NHS contracts
• Demonstrable recent success at board, sub-board or equivalent level in a similarly complex organisation • Proven commercial, demand and capacity planning experience • Track record leading change programmes involving service improvement, outcomes and cost efficiency • Successful workforce, financial and resource management experience • Demonstrable experience using data to lead improvement • Track record building high-performing, cohesive teams • Track record identifying and delivering strategic value creation plans • Experience leading complex, large-scale, multi-site operations • Resilience, determination and persistence in delivering strategic objectives • Highly developed influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills • Resilience under pressure and calmness in a crisis • High standard of IT literacy, including MS Office and other IT systems • Financial awareness and business acumen • Understanding of budget control and service financial considerations • Ability to plan across short-, medium- and long-term timeframes and adjust resources accordingly • Passion for high-quality patient care and outstanding outcomes • Desirable: complex public- and private-sector organisation experience • Desirable: credibility in people logistics • Desirable: healthcare experience • Desirable: outsourced provider experience • Desirable: private equity experience • Desirable: complex operational IT systems implementation experience • Desirable: understanding of public/NHS commissioning and partner organisations
