📋 Description

• Conduct video-based psychiatric consultations for patients exploring CBMP treatment, including new assessments and ongoing reviews • Make evidence-led prescribing decisions under the clinical governance framework • Collaborate with pharmacists and nurses in a multidisciplinary team • Participate in clinical outcome data collection and help build the UK evidence base for CBMPs in psychiatry • Contribute to clinical governance, MDT meetings, and continuous improvement of prescribing protocols • For senior candidates, contribute to or lead Medical Director-level governance, prescribing policy, and clinical strategy • Complete structured clinical induction, including observing MDT meetings and shadowing patient consultations • Participate in high-risk and 18–24-year-old patient registers with enhanced monitoring protocols • Obtain documented informed consent and assess mental capacity under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 • Prescribe using independent clinical judgment, without links to session volume, revenue targets, or product selection • Participate in monthly clinical audits covering consultation notes, prescribing rationale, and outcomes • Maintain GMC revalidation and good standing and report registration changes promptly

🎯 Requirements

• Full GMC Registration with a license to practise in the UK • Completion of Specialist Training (CCT/CCST) or equivalent certification • On the GMC Specialist Register for Psychiatry • Genuine interest in alternative therapies and the evolving evidence base around CBMPs • Comfortable working in a digital-first, telemedicine setting • Willingness to participate in structured data collection and outcome reporting • Complete mandatory training before commencing patient-facing duties, including role-specific modules and annual or triennial refreshers • Report all incidents and significant events through the incident reporting process • Comply with patient confidentiality and information governance requirements at all times • Enhanced DBS check prior to commencement of work • Prior CBMP experience or willingness to complete a recognised Medical Cannabis Course for Specialist Physicians • Experience in private clinic, telemedicine, or digital health environments is preferred • Interest in a Medical Director track or shaping clinical pathways is preferred
