📋 Description

• This remote position is available at Everest Technologies as a Lead OpenTelemetry Developer • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining OpenTelemetry-based solutions • Instrumentation, data collection, and observability tooling for seamless integration and monitoring • Write documentation and promote best practices around OpenTelemetry • Partner with developers to instrument systems using code-based or zero-code solutions • Design and build OpenTelemetry-based solutions integrating with observability platforms • Build dashboards and provide guidance on monitoring technologies • Educate teams on OpenTelemetry best practices, semantic conventions, and supported frameworks • Develop monitoring frameworks for end-to-end flow monitoring and noiseless alerting • Create automated solutions for upgrades, change management, and release management to ensure stability

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development or related field • Proficiency in at least 3 of the following languages: Python, Java, Go, .NET, PHP, React • Strong experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and observability platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Amazon CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Honeycomb) • Hands-on knowledge of Java instrumentation techniques (bytecode manipulation, JVM internals, Java agents) • Understanding of reliability and production management • Experience with automation to reduce manual work and improve workflow • Background in system and software security (SSO, Kerberos, LDAP)
