📋 Description

• Lead the strategic direction and operational performance of the area, delivering business objectives and driving continuous improvement • Own area performance across cost, service, quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance metrics • Manage and develop Area Operations Managers, Senior Planners, Regional Managers, and Community Delivery Managers • Ensure effective planning, resource coverage, and operational optimisation across the network • Analyse performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and corrective actions • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and high performance • Maintain strong relationships with support functions, finance, HR, operational development teams, and union representatives • Manage area P&L responsibility, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs • Provide strategic leadership across the East region, covering Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Nottingham, and Coventry • Maintain legal compliance and deliver sustainable operational success across employed and self-employed delivery models

🎯 Requirements

• Proven senior operational leadership experience within a complex logistics, distribution, or delivery environment • Experience managing large budgets and operational performance • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills • Experience working with unionised environments and mixed employed/self-employed workforce models • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams • Full UK Driving Licence
