📋 Description

• Build financial projections for banking licence and payment institution / EMI applications, including P&L, balance sheet, capital, and liquidity • Own funds and regulatory capital planning, including requirements, headroom, growth, and stress scenarios • Model safeguarding and payment buffers across regulated entities • Support legal, compliance, and regulatory teams during applications and Q&A cycles • Defend assumptions and rework projections against deadlines • Reconcile licence and capital models with the company financial model and actuals • Build business cases and investment cases for new markets, products, and initiatives • Conduct scenario, sensitivity, profitability, and unit economics analysis • Prepare board and investor materials • Support fundraising through model preparation, diligence responses, and investor questions • Support M&A workstreams, including valuation, structuring analysis, and diligence • Partner with functions on planning, costs, and investment decisions • Perform ad-hoc analysis • Work directly with the VP of Finance and collaborate with CFO, CEO, board, legal, compliance, and regulatory stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years in corporate finance, strategic finance, financial modelling, transaction services, or a bank/fintech finance function • Built or materially maintained sophisticated financial models for a bank, fintech, or financial institution • Exposure to regulatory financial models, including licence applications, capital planning, ICAAP/ILAAP, or regulatory reporting • Exceptional Excel / Google Sheets modelling skills, including structure, transparency, and error-proofing • Excellent working command of the three financial statements and their interactions • Understanding of banking or fintech economics, including interchange, net interest income, funding, and capital • Extreme attention to detail • Structured thinking and ownership mentality • Ability to work independently with CFO, CEO, and board-level stakeholders • Strong written and verbal English • SQL and BI tools such as Metabase, Looker, and Tableau are nice to have • Python is nice to have • Hands-on use of AI tools in modelling, analysis, and reporting workflows is nice to have • Treasury, capital management, or regulatory reporting background is nice to have • Experience in a firm pursuing or holding a banking licence is nice to have • Big Four, investment banking, or consulting foundation followed by an in-house fintech role is nice to have
