📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate the core frameworks and infrastructure for distributed data processing using technologies that include Go, Python, Iceberg, K8’s • Develop reusable frameworks, libraries, and internal APIs that make it easy for product and data teams to build reliable pipelines and integrations. • Architect systems that handle both real‑time and large‑scale batch workloads efficiently, ensuring reliability, observability, and cost‑effectiveness. • Collaborate with data engineers, backend engineers, and analysts to evolve our ecosystem of data sources, connectors, and quality controls. • Collaborate and document engineering standards for how we build, deploy, and operate data services. • Help ensure security and compliance of all data movement and storage.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend or platform systems. • Strong proficiency in Go, including building concurrent and distributed systems. • Experience with data lake architectures, especially Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake, and familiarity with engines like Trino / Presto / Dremio. • Solid experience operating production systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Cloud Storage, IAM, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run / K Native, etc. • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, K Native). • Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts (scalability, reliability, consistency). • Experience developing data pipelines or ingestion frameworks, ideally in Go or Python. • Strong system-design and problem-solving skills, especially around large-scale data movement and performance. • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
