📋 Description

• Research and evaluate high-impact funding opportunities in global health and development • Investigate specific funding margins, organizations, and programs that can cost-effectively save and improve lives • Conduct rigorous evaluations and make multimillion-dollar grant recommendations monthly • Expand the range of interventions considered, including novel interventions requiring active grantmaking • Evaluate direct interventions, research opportunities, micro-interventions, and high-risk/high-reward big bets • Undertake research investigations and literature reviews • Conduct individual investigations into promising funding opportunities • Contribute to internal and external reports and materials • Work with internal and external stakeholders to secure funding for opportunities • Answer detailed research questions from ultra-high-net-worth donors • Report to the Global Health & Development Lead

🎯 Requirements

• Relevant domain expertise in development economics, public health, cost-effectiveness analysis, medicine, finance, or hard sciences • Excellent analytical skills • Comfort expressing views numerically and using systematic quantitative frameworks • Ability to understand and build quantitative models • Ability to express nuanced evidence and complex concepts clearly in writing • Open-ended research skills, including identifying potential HIFOs and relevant academic research, reports, and experts • Good calibration and awareness of the limits of personal knowledge • Intellectual curiosity and openness to alternative viewpoints • Conscientiousness and prioritization skills • Good judgment in research and reporting decisions • Ability to work well with others and communicate honestly and directly • Openness to feedback • Willingness to work in a high-growth, dynamic startup environment and comfort with ambiguity • Confidence and experience leading independent research • Great home Wi-Fi connection • Must be based in the UK, USA (ideally East Coast), or Germany
