📋 Description

• Provide consistent, relationship-based support in the community • Support access to activities, interests and new experiences • Encourage independence, confidence and choice at an appropriate pace • Use calm, flexible communication reflecting an understanding of autism and PDA • Follow agreed support plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures • Complete clear and accurate records after each shift • Work collaboratively with the family and Freedom Care team • Support a young adult with autism and a Pathological Demand Avoidance profile • Help maintain the safety and wellbeing of younger children during home-based shifts • Support planned travel, activities and outings, potentially involving significant public-transport travel

🎯 Requirements

• Ongoing, regular availability for the listed shifts • Calm, patient, compassionate and dependable • Able to build trust while respecting individual choice and autonomy • Confident supporting activities in the community • Clear communicator able to work consistently as part of a wider team • Experience supporting autistic people and/or individuals with a PDA profile is desirable, but not essential • Full UK driving licence • Own reliable vehicle with business-use insurance • Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check and all required safer-recruitment checks • Satisfactory references • Evidence of the right to work in the UK
