📋 Description

• Design, implement, and test APIs for new products, features, and services • Maintain and optimize existing systems, emphasizing database-related performance • Collaborate with engineers across the stack and cross-functional stakeholders • Keep current with technologies and industry best practices, and encourage fellow engineers to do so • Serve as on-call engineer approximately one week per month, triaging incoming issues during non-working hours • Build core services, data pipelines, business systems, developer operations, and customer-facing features • Deliver APIs, infrastructure, and scalability across product initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of production development experience specifically working on backend/API • Strong knowledge of Go, AWS, Docker (ECS), and Postgres (RDS) • Proven ability to use software quality measures including unit/integration testing, monitoring, and alerting • Experience managing Docker-based microservice architecture • Experience working in a fast-moving startup environment • Strong product thinking focused on end-user experience • Scrappiness and pragmatism in balancing engineering excellence with velocity • Adaptability to shifting priorities and a track record of focusing development on what matters • Nice to have: experience with ETL and optimized database performance intuition
