📋 Description

• Take technical ownership of a high-impact, customer-facing product • Take responsibility for the quality of code and architecture delivered by the team • Influence and coach team engineers • Align the team on goals, outcomes and timelines • Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to translate the strategic roadmap into actionable tasks • Provide visibility on delivery progress outside the team • Design, develop, test, maintain and enhance Golang microservices and frontend applications • Deliver user-friendly, performant interfaces using the design system • Improve the performance and observability of services and applications • Improve team and business quality of life through automation, process improvement or new technologies • Collaborate using Agile methodologies with product, commercial and other stakeholders • Contribute to collecting, processing, quality-checking and serving cross-border payments data

🎯 Requirements

• Experience managing a team technically and coaching engineers • Ability to write Golang services and web application backends using SQL • Experience building componentised application frontends in React/TypeScript • Understanding of clean code principles and TypeScript and Go idioms • Experience reviewing code and establishing team quality standards • Ability to learn and engage with a new business domain and product • Ability to communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical people • Ability to discuss how you learn and improve your skills • Concurrent logic experience, such as goroutines, helpful but not essential • Experience building CI/CD pipelines, especially with GitLab CI, helpful but not essential • Experience configuring observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, helpful but not essential • Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes, helpful but not essential • Experience utilising AI and productionised AI tools, helpful but not essential • Experience with gRPC, helpful but not essential • Experience with MaterialUI, helpful but not essential • Technical stack familiarity: Golang, TypeScript, React, MaterialUI, MariaDB, ClickHouse, Git, GitLab, AWS and SQL • Candidates must refrain from using AI tools during interviews or technical tasks unless explicitly instructed
