📋 Description

• Analyze and understand complex legacy mainframe codebases such as COBOL and PL/I using generative AI tools • Identify code patterns, dependencies, and optimization opportunities • Use AI to refactor, translate, and re-architect mainframe applications into Java, Python, microservices, and other modern architectures • Implement AI-driven code generation while ensuring code quality and maintainability • Design and implement data migration strategies from legacy mainframe systems to modern databases or cloud platforms • Use AI to automate data transformation and ensure data integrity • Develop and execute testing plans for functional and performance requirements • Use AI for automated test case generation and test execution • Collaborate with mainframe experts, architects, and developers on modernization goals and constraints • Monitor generative AI advancements and apply them to improve modernization processes

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience using LLMs through APIs such as Claude and Gemini • Familiarity with LLM architectures and their strengths and weaknesses • Understanding of prompt engineering techniques • Hands-on technical experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions • Cloud certifications in architecture, data engineering, and/or machine learning • Background working with government technology projects and programs • Demonstrated ability to connect with stakeholders • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
